Les aubes arrachées à la nuit - [Dawns Ripped from the Night]

This painting is part of Échos des Fleurs du Mal (Echoes of The Flowers of Evil), a series of 12 paintings created in collaboration with artist Gavlois. Inspired by Charles Baudelaire’s Les Fleurs du Mal (The Flowers of Evil), the series explores the dialogue between beauty and pain, shadow and light, translating themes of melancholy, depression, and death through the painterly gesture.

Organized by Art Souterrain and curated by Ubisoft Montréal, the project was exhibited in Ubisoft’s gallery, with large-scale reproductions of the paintings also installed on the building’s exterior walls, extending the exhibition beyond the gallery space.
